From Barista to Six-Figure Designer

Hey, I’m Sheena Gorgonio Gutierrez.

I’m living proof that you don’t need an IT degree, coding knowledge, or years of experience to build a premium design business.

Five years ago, I was a 20-year-old fresh grad with a Communications degree… and no idea what I was supposed to do next. I didn’t come from money. I didn’t have industry connections. All I had was a dream and a deep desire to live a life of time and financial freedom.

I thought the only way to do that was to become a flight attendant.

So I took a job as a barista to gain customer service experience and worked 10-hour shifts for ₱15,000/month behind a coffee counter.

It was humbling. But I knew I was meant for more.

In February 2020, I found freelancing.

I had no design degree. No portfolio. No clients. Just grit, determination, and a dream.
